AMARONE

  • Wine appellation: Veneto IGT
  • Description: Only 696 bottles produced for this modern version of Amarone, a wine that is agile and dynamic yet reflects the territory. Cherry, hints of pepper, with a nice acidic vein.
  • Grapes: Corvina, rondinella, corvinone
  • Terrain: Calcareous, clayey, and rocky. The vineyard is located in Illasi, specifically on Monte Garzone, at an altitude ranging from 380 to 400 meters above sea level.
  • Maturation: The first grapes are hand-picked into wooden crates. Once they arrive at the winery, they undergo further selection before all the grapes are left to dry for about 90 days. After the drying period, a second harvest of the grapes takes place. Fermentation lasts about ten days, during which two pump-overs are performed daily. After fermentation, the wine is pressed and then placed in steel tanks for 3 months. At this point, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak tonneaux and another 12 months in French oak barriques. The wine rests for 6 months in the bottle before being released for sale.
