  • Denomination: Etna DOC
  • Description: A fresh base of Nerello, mineral, sulfurous, salty, and juicy, combined with thirty or twenty percent of different grape varieties. The Rossastro is a more intense, more extreme rosé, also more old-school—an almost-red to be enjoyed chilled in the summer.
  • Grape: Nerello Mascalese, Sangiovese, Grenache, Grecanico, and other white grape varieties harvested from the vineyards of the Bardazzi and Pennello districts.
  • Soil: Vineyard located in the contrade of bardazzi and montedolce between 550 and 850 meters above sea level
  • Aging: Destemming and crushing. Maceration in an open-top vat for 24 to 36 hours with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. Pressing with a manual press and continuation of fermentation in a concrete vat. Aging in a small fiberglass tank.
